The album project is well underway. The material is all on tape
(actually, on a hard drive) and ready for the arduous but necessary
process of editing and mixing.
Incidentally I'm playing a gig tonight with Danny Valentine and the
Meditations in Putney. Here's the latest video from the single Queen of
Everything ("a blend of marching band, tweecore indie, free jazz and
existential musings on the relationship between an addict and his
addictions")...
I'm playing a little trio gig tonight at Oliver's in Greenwich with
AJ Brinkman and Pete Ibbetson. Come down if you're free.
Tremendous gig last night at Charlie Wright's. Thanks to all who came
out - good to see so many faces! Sadly, we forgot to hit record so this
one wasn't documented. Then again, live music is supposed to be heard
live.
The band will be off for a few months while I focus on editing and mixing
the album. Happy summer!

TODAY IS BORING
brings you a new themed film night which couples a live freeform audio score from various performers, giving us all the chance to see and hear a completely new experience. We hope there will be many more to come. The films you see may or may not be familiar to you, and will not be restricted to silent films, as is often the case with standard 'film with live music' excursions. Our intentions are to remove the primary source of direction and literal meaning from the experience of a film, its original sound, and give the visuals a completely different context, exploring a range of feelings and atmospheres, not necessarily limited to conventional 'music' per se.

Thought I'd squeeze in the obligatory "New Year" update... 2010 seems
to be on speed so far! Lots of things going on at the moment and not
enough time to write about them in detail so a few bullet points should
do... My band has undergone some changes and will be playing the Con
Cellar Bar in March; we'll also be doing some recording for a new CD
which I'm hoping to release this year. Lots of composing and arranging
for my group and various other projects recently as well. Aside from
that, I'm in the studio off and on this year doing some work with other
artists.
Keep coming
back to check in (I try to update at least once a month) and watch the
events page for gigs you may want to attend. Bye for now.
